He’s able to get to All Might in a way that no other villain could because of the deep understanding of All Might’s mind that All for One has – after all, he’s spent generations fighting heroes with One for All. Shigaraki and Stain were both happy to preach their ideologies, but they never had the level of understanding that we see coming from All for One. ![]() It contrasts with the previous villains we’ve seen. All for One’s ability to work his way into All Might’s mind is, frankly, terrifying. Gran Torino reminds All Might that this is the same thing that happened during his previous battle with All for One he got angered by the villain’s words, which allowed him to both escape and blow a hole in All Might’s stomach. The episode here continues this way, with All for One worming his way into All Might’s mind until the hero gives him an opening to blow him away – nearly sending All Might’s body crashing through a news helicopter, which was only saved by Gran Torino’s intervention. Last episode ended with All Might landed a blow that broke All for One’s mask and pinned the villain against the ground before the villain started to taunt All Might. We quickly come to understand that All for One is a different kind of villain than we’ve seen our heroes face before. It creates a clean battlefield where the two old foes can fight without concern for harming an important cast member, allowing for a far more explosive battle.Īnd it was an explosive battle. It was nice, kind of a moment to unwind as we come to understand that the students made a clean escape and are well out of range of the battle between the All Might and All for One. Bakugo is being his usual, abrasive self as he explains that he wasn’t rescued, he just took the most convenient escape route to get out of All Might’s way. After the OP we get to catch up with the students Todoroki and Yaoyorozu got separated from the other since they made their escape on foot rather than soaring through the air like a bunch of dumb kids and they’re in contact with the others. This week’s episode doesn’t bother with reminding us what happened last time instead it gives us the briefest glimpse of All Might’s origins, back when he was still a Quirkless middle-school student meeting Nana Shimura.
